Balloon Game RTP: 95.5-98% Set by Your Casino (Verified)
The Balloon game's RTP is not one number: SmartSoft's own in-game rules put it anywhere from 95.5% to 98.0%, and your casino picks the setting inside that range. We read this in the official game client (version 2.2.0) on SmartSoft's demo server on August 2, 2026.
The operator picks the setting · Source: Balloon in-game rules v2.2.0, SmartSoft demo server, read 2 Aug 2026 · Last verified 15 Aug 2026At the bottom of the range you pay a 4.5% house edge, at the top 2.0%, more than double the difference for identical gameplay, the same operator-range pattern as SmartSoft’s JetX.
The exact line in the rules
Page three of the in-game rules reads: “The minimum bet on the game is 0.10 and the maximum is 100.00. The maximum win in the game is 10000. RTP 95.5 – 98.0%. Game Version v2.2.0” (demo-currency units on the demo build; operator builds denominate in your account currency). No marketing page on smartsoftgaming.com publishes the figure, the client itself is the source.
Balloon RTP against the other crash-style games
| Game | RTP | House edge | Fixed? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Balloon (SmartSoft) | 95.5%-98.0% | 2.0%-4.5% | No, set by operator |
| JetX (SmartSoft) | 96.2%-98.9% | 1.1%-3.8% | No, set by operator |
| Aviator (Spribe) | 97% | 3% | Yes |
| Aviatrix | 97% | 3% | Yes |
| Stake-style Crash | 99% | 1% | Yes |
What the range costs you
- At 98.0%: a 2x cash-out lands about 49% of rounds; expected cost per $100 wagered is about $2.
- At 95.5%: a 2x cash-out lands about 47.75% of rounds; expected cost per $100 wagered is about $4.50.
- Same balloon, same animation, 2.25 times the long-run cost between the best and worst setting. Which one you face is the operator’s choice, not yours.
Skill does not enter it
The rules also state it outright: “The speed or skill of the player does not influence, or increase the chances of winning, or define the outcome of the game.” Balloon’s hold-and-release control feels like timing skill; the outcome is decided by the game’s RNG. Treat any “balloon game trick” video accordingly.
How to find your casino’s setting
Open Balloon at your casino, open the menu, page through the rules to the line that states the RTP. If it shows a single figure, that is your build; if it shows the range, ask support which setting they run. Below roughly 97% you are paying more than Aviator for a similar ride. If you cannot confirm the figure at all, treat that as your answer.
Quick answers
What is the Balloon game RTP? A range: 95.5% to 98.0%, set by the operator. Stated in SmartSoft’s in-game rules, read August 2, 2026.
Is Balloon’s RTP better than JetX’s? Its ceiling is lower (98.0% vs 98.9%) and its floor is lower (95.5% vs 96.2%). Both depend entirely on the operator’s build.
Does holding longer improve my odds? No. The rules state skill and speed do not influence the outcome.
